What are we trying to do at the Green Dolphin? Well, the main aim is to create a quality brasserie-bar serving healthy, contemporary food that will be “locally sourced and home made” as far as possible. But there is more to it than just that. We have a community and family friendly policy which currently includes a home-made children’s menu but we plan to provide a small children’s activity area in our lower room. We will also actively encourage clubs and associations to use our facilities for meetings, networking events etc (see Business Friendly below). We will also be promoting learning and community initiatives such as language classes and local action groups.
Arts-friendly
As the business develops and “beds-in”, we are planning to provide intimate performance facilities with a policy of offering local upcoming artists opportunities to gain experience in a live setting. The performances will consist of small groups such as acoustic duo/trios, string quartets, possibly stand-up comedy and poetry. With the redevelopment of “the Floral” across the road, we will actively seek to participate in their events programme.

We can offer privacy and tranquillity to small businesses who are require a more intimate setting for meetings, networking events or private functions. Our reputation for food, atmosphere and surroundings continues to grow and, being privately owned and managed, we have the flexibility to cater for individual requirements. Our function rooms can accommodate up to 40 people with views over the River Mersey and sea. We understand business and we encourage business people to use our facilities (including free WiFi) and with easy access from Liverpool, the Wirral and beyond by car and public transport and ample free parking close by, The Green Dolphin is an ideal meeting space for both engagements and networking events for small businesses.
